I am profoundly grateful for the honor that has been bestowed upon me to serve as President of MOCAAPI. The wonderful team looks forward to an exciting and productive next two years. I am impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of our previous officers. Their loyalty has enabled MOCAAPI to grow in both size as well as quality. We hope to continue this momentum and and take MOCAAPI to ever reaching new heights.

2013 Gala raises over $35,000 for local charities
Nov 16, 2013 A yearlong fundraising effort by the Monmouth & Ocean County Chapter of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin will be celebrated this weekend at their Annual Gala. Together, this non-profit group has raised more than $35,000 this year for local non-profits such as Restore the Shore, the Food Banks of Monmouth & Ocean County, and the upcoming Indian Cultural & Community Centre in Toms River.

Dharam P. Mann, MD becomes MOCAAPI President for 2013
Dr. Mann earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak, India before coming to the United States in 1997. Once in the United States, Dr. Mann completed his surgical internship and anesthesia residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and his fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology, a diplomat of the American Board of Pain Medicine and is TEE Board Certified by the National Board of Echocardiology.

Dr. Rajesh Mohan becomes Chair of Medicine at KMC
Dr. Mohan is an interventional cardiologist who graduated from University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York Medical College, NY, Cardiovascular fellowship from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN and Interventional Cardiology fellowship from University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Dr. Mohan is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

Childhood Nostalgia brings NRI Doctor back to Haryana Village
Having been born, brought up and schooled for the first seven years in Kumbha village of Hisar in Haryana, Dr. Karambir S. Dalal currently practicing successfully in the USA thought of his heritage and visited his village Kumbha to give back in whatever way he could to his community. About two months ago he came up with an idea of organizing a free medical cum health awareness camp.
